Ministry of Education Issues IT Equipment to EWIS

E-W Information Systems has successfully completed a project for the supply, installation and commissioning of two thousand four hundred and sixty one (2,461) computer systems and related equipment at one hundred and nine (109) Computer Learning Centres (CLCs) islandwide, under which every school has been provided with a computer network with related equipment and the application software packages with licenses.

This project was awarded by the Secondary Education Modernisation Project (SEMP) of the Ministry of Education and funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project value amounts to Rupees two hundred and fifty million (Rs. 250,000,000.00).

EWIS Secondary Education Programme

E-W Information Systems was awarded contracts for the supply, installation and commissioning of Five Thousand (5,000) computer systems and related equipment at Two Hundred and Fourteen (214) Computer Learning Centres (CLCs) covering all provinces of the island. The schools will be provided with computer networks with related peripherals and the application software packages with licenses.

These projects were awarded by the Secondary Education Modernisation Project (SEMP) of Ministry of Education and funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The total project values amounts to Rupees Five Hundred and Twenty Five Million (Rs. 525,000,000.00).

With the completion of the above two contracts, EWIS’ total install base under the SEMP project of Ministry of Education will be Eleven Thousand Computer Systems.

Previously a branch took three days to complete this process.
