With the aim of eliminating brain drain from the rural to the urban, EWIS has stepped forward to assist the E-Villages project which provide necessary IT related skills to the rural community. The press conference to announce this initiative was held on 13th March 2008.

E Villages is a project initiated by the Ministry of Education under the guidance of Presidential Secretariat to empower the rural youth with the IT related skills. EWIS will be providing fully equipped IT centres to five E-villages situated in different parts of the country.
